What do, Mack, myself, and Jacob deGrom have in common?
Well, when we can't get to the mound, our game results are equal.
The Mets could have traded 2 time Cy Young award winner Jacob deGrom this offseason, and raked in a boatload of talent, and then signed the far more durable (of late) Marcus Stroman, or another quality starter arm.
But they stayed with Jake.
They stayed with Matt Harvey after 2016, when a trade would have netted a boatload, and that backfired.
Should the Mets have traded the fragile deGrom, rather than take a chance on 2022 end-to-end dominance? Would you have skinned the cat differently than the Mets did?
